This notice explains how this store handles information when you browse the site, create an account, or place an order. It is written for shoppers and visitors. It describes the information this website actually uses to run the shop. It does not describe any other company.
If you only look around, the site still needs a few technical details to show you pages and to remember a cart. If you buy something, we also need the details that let us take payment, prepare the parcel, and send it to the address you enter. If you write to us, we keep that message so we can reply.
Information you give us
When you check out, you provide a name, an email address, a delivery address, and any billing details the checkout form asks for. If you create an account, you also choose a password. You may add a phone number if the form offers that field. Order notes are stored with the order when you type them.
Please give a delivery address that a carrier can use. If the address is incomplete, we may need to write to you before the parcel can leave. Do not send card numbers or bank passwords by email. Payment details are entered on the checkout page and are handled by the payment provider you select there.
Information the site creates
A shopping cart has to remember what you added. The site does that with a short-lived session and with cookies described on the cookie page. If you sign in, the site keeps a login session so you are not asked for your password on every click.
Our server may record a basic log of the page request, such as the time, the address of the page, and the browser type. We use those logs to keep the site working and to look into abuse, such as repeated failed sign-ins. We do not build a public profile of your browsing for other companies.
Why we use this information
We use your order details to charge the amount shown at checkout, to pack the goods, and to hand the parcel to the carrier. We use your email to send the order confirmation and, when a carrier provides one, a shipping update. We use account details so you can see your orders when you sign in.
We also use the information to answer a question you send, to look at a return you request, and to correct a mistake in an order. If a payment fails or a checkout is left unfinished, we may keep the attempt long enough to understand the error. We do not use your details to publish testimonials, and we do not place your name on a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
The carrier that delivers the parcel receives the name and address needed for that delivery. The payment provider that processes the method you choose at checkout receives the information it needs to take or decline the payment. Those parties act for that task. They are not invited to use your order for their own marketing.
If the law requires us to share a record, for example with a tax authority or in answer to a valid legal request, we will share only what that request covers. We do not sell customer lists. We do not trade email addresses with other shops.
How long we keep it
We keep an order for as long as we need it to finish delivery, to handle a return or a warranty question, and to meet the bookkeeping duties that apply to this store. Account information stays while the account is open. You may ask us to close an account. We may still retain the related orders where we need them for the reasons above.
Server logs are kept only for a limited operating period and then removed or reduced. Exact retention can vary with the host that runs this website. If you need a specific period for your own records, write to owalalife@gmail.com and we will tell you what we still hold about your orders.
Your choices
You can browse many pages without an account. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser, though the cart and sign-in may then stop working as expected. You can ask us what order information we have about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to close your account.
Send those requests to owalalife@gmail.com. Tell us the email address you used at checkout so we can find the right record. We may ask a simple question to make sure we are writing to the right person. Some requests cannot be completed if we still need the record to deliver an open order or to meet a legal duty.
Children and changes
This shop is meant for people who are old enough to place an order under the terms of use. Please do not create an account for a younger child. If you believe a child has given us personal details, contact owalalife@gmail.com and we will remove what we can.
If we change this notice, we will post the updated text on this page. The change applies from the time it is posted, except where an order you already placed must still follow the notice that was current at checkout. Continuing to use the site after the update means you have seen the new text.
